Sheehan Clark is a native of Lancaster County, PA, where he was raised in the Brethren in Christ (Anabaptist) tradition. Sheehan became Catholic in 2014, after studying at Eastern University and falling in love with the great truths offered by the faith.

Sheehan joined the Martin Saints family after a Homeric journey through the various educational systems our culture offers, both as a student and as an employee. After graduating from the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University, he started his journey by working in a privately-run residential treatment facility for boys with violent behavioral disorders in Coatesville, PA. Then, moving with his wife, Izzy, to Arizona, he worked in a third grade classroom that was part of the Great Hearts Classical Academies network of charter schools. After a year in Arizona, the Clarks moved back to PA, so Izzy could attend medical school in Pittsburgh.

While in Pittsburgh, Sheehan worked in another private school, this one for students with severe autism and/or violent behavioral disorders. He then went on to earn his PA teaching license through the University of Pittsburgh's Master of Teaching program. While earning his license, Sheehan was a student-teacher in a public high school, working with freshman and seniors. From there, he taught at North Catholic High School, just north of Pittsburgh, where he taught AP Literature, British Literature, and Journalism. Sheehan, his wife Izzy, and their 1-year-old daughter Robin, then moved, along with their dog, Norman, to Philadelphia, so Izzy could continue her medical training.

Living and serving in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Sheehan enjoys spending time with his family, reading, walking his dog, visiting family and friends, and being a teacher who gets to learn new and interesting things about God's wondrous creation every day.
